Volunteering Workshop: research and learning to support recovery
5 July 2021 09:30-11:00 England Alex Farrow, Joanna Stuart, Laura Crawford, Ruth Leonard.
NCVO, in partnership with Northumbria University, the University of Kent and the Mobilising Voluntary Action Research Group, invite you to join this free interactive workshop to find out about the latest evidence on volunteering during Covid and to share and learn with others in the sector.
The workshop is for anyone working with volunteers, co-ordinating volunteering or supporting volunteer involving organisations such as volunteer centres. This includes charities and voluntary organisations, local authorities, public services, and the private sector.
The workshop will present interim findings from the Mobilising UK Voluntary Action project – a project exploring voluntary action through Covid across the four nations of the UK. The findings will help guide the UK volunteer effort to support the national recovery and preparedness for future crises.
The session will be an opportunity to learn from the research and from each other to help develop, sustain, and support volunteering in the future.
