MVA project member Dr Jurgen Grotz (Director of the Institute for Volunteering Research at UEA) presented a paper titled ‘Pandemic policy making affecting older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic in the four nations of the UK’ at the 50th Annual Conference of the British Society of Gerontology 7-9 July. The paper was co-authored by fellow project member Professor Ewen Speed (University of Essex) alongside Heather Edwards (Founder and Chairwoman of Come Singing, Norwich) and Dr Linda Birt (UEA). The presentation explores the disproportionate impact of the pandemic to the lives of older people and considers the policy implications for the future.
